As we near the time we are scheduled to leave on the 2012 Go & Serve Mission trip, take some time to reflect on where we are going and what we are doing. Look at the pictures in the slideshow to the right and just try to imagine what it would be like to have everything you own taken from you in a single night. Then in the morning you have to begin the long road of recovery.
It has been almost a year since the devastating tornado and while the people of Joplin have been working hard and have received a lot of help, there is still much more work to be done. Here is a news article about just how much has been done in the last 10 months.
