Today was another wonderful day! We really started to see the fruits of our labor as we completed many of the projects we have been working on for the past two days. However, when one project is completed there is always another to take its place. Even though it has been nearly 13 months since the tornado, there are still many, many projects to be completed and many houses that have yet to be touched at all. In the face of such an overwhelming situation, it would be easy to get discouraged and give up. The people of Joplin however, have really seemed to come together as a community and taken on the task with great hope and faith. The people you meet and the stories you hear about the trials and tribulations experienced give you hope for the future.
Why do we need a natural disaster to bring people together and settle petty disputes?
